I don't know, what I'm gonna put here could ever help any of you or not; yet got an uphill task to initiate & I'll put my best efforts.
"Superlatives" simply hold the meaning of the most extreme qualities that one can possess whether they are positive or negative. So the first thing which is quite obvious is that they hold the maximal essence of adjectives.
Prefixes like the most, the best, the super, the epic, the worst, etc. advocate superlatives' impact on real entities. So by now, you are probably thinking of, what's the big deal, it's a topic of 5th-grade grammar. That's solely right but I'm not here to discuss grammar instead I'm here to examine the social impact of superlatives & how much overrated they are nowadays, or I should say, always.
In the 21st Century, only superlatives are functional in every aspect of society which is good. But the point, where I have certain disappointment, is how people are up to making superlatives more 'superlative' like, they tend to make "ideal", " most ideal" and here the problem begins. The term "Ideal" has perfection in itself & you can't make a perfect entity more perfect cause if that would be feasible then the entity was never perfect.
That means we are still on comparatives & not yet obtained " Superlative".
If you read former lines with all their essence only then you can relate that any Superlative entity never tries to indulge in any further betterment which heads to the only conclusion, which is as follows:-
We never know which entity was superlative and which of the modern-day object is superlative. So I'm binding up with a quote as I always do 😇.
We are rolling in the world of comparatives claiming themselves superlatives until they encounter a better entity.
